Trader Joe’s has long built its reputation on self-produced seasonal foods and a warm, community-first approach to marketing - a brand beloved for its personality as much as its products. During Covid, as many grocery brands began shifting to online ordering and delivery, I started wondering: What would a digital experience for Trader Joe’s look like?

How could the brand enter the online space without losing its quirky, neighborhood charm? What kind of digital experience could stay true to its spirit while helping it grow?

To explore these questions, I spent four weeks researching, prototyping, and reimagining what an authentic “Trader Joe’s online” experience could be - one that feels as delightful, human, and surprising as walking through the aisles in person.
